You 'can' get MDK to do apt-get, but there is an MDK 'native' feature called "urpmi" which will do the same thing. "Define" your sources in the MDK Software Sanager (you can do this at the command line, or in the Kicker at "Configuration/Packaging/SoftwareManager). Much like apt-get, once you have your download mirrors setup, you can simple type "urpmi <package-name>" at the command line and it will grab the app and dependencies automatically.
