dependencies, then building associated applications
from sources. There is no turnkey directory.
All of the dependencies and apps are installed in the
/usr/local tree (lib, bin), so to locate them, all you
should have to do is "ls /usr/local/bin". If nothing
is there, then there is another problem.
I suspect this is simply a permissions issue. Running
the app as a normal user cannot install to the system
directories.
(oh, and one other question: I don't know why /sbinWhat shell are you using? Once you get the TKLA stuff
and /usr/sbin aren't in my path by default, but I'm getting tired of
adding them... how can I add them permanently? In other words, I add them by
doing "export PATH=$PATH:/sbin/usr/sbin" but then the next time I
reboot that's gone.
going (which assumes /sbin/tsch), the path is set in
/usr/llocal/lib/ecmcaliases.csh, as are the aliases
for each installed app. This file is sourced whenever
you open a new tsch shell (once you get things
installed!).
If you are using another shell the PATH can be set in
a number of places (per user or globally), but must be
made permanent in a config file or it will be lost
each time you close a shell.
