Clemens answered my previous mail and asked for "lsusb -v" output. I sent this in (it's quoted again below) Could any ALSA guru address the point that Clemens raised - ie is the Quickcam Web mic properly recognised, based on the "lsusb -v" output below? It seems to be to me, but I am looking with untrained eyes. Is Takashi Iwai still maintaining the snd-usb-audio driver? If so, does he look at his list? Perhaps he would know, or be interested. Otherwise, ... Jaroslav? anybody? I don't mind getting my hands dirty in a bit of code, by the way, if that's the quickest way to get the mic working under ALSA. Due to time constraints though I could do with a quick pointer or two to get me started.
