i have CS4237B on the main board and am attempting Alsa file install. i don't
want to run games in Linux, i just want to get sound working.

i recently installed RH9 kernel 2.4.20-19.9, then tried to update it with Alsa
Drivers, Lib, and Utils. it seems configure/make ran correctly, but when i tried
to install it all through Modprobe, i got 'kernel and module mismatch' error and
the install failed. it seems the Alsa files i have were compiled for 2.4.20-18.9.
Installation for the earlier kernel seems to have completed normally.

do i wait for a later version of Alsa files? i notice release 0.9.5 on the Alsa web
site. my copy also is 0.9.5, though i probably downloaded it some time in
June and the web copy shows a July date. is there some other work-around?
thanks...
