Hi, I recently tried kernel 2.4.6-test5 it works just great (for me) but I
have some strange behaviour trying to record sound.
According to alsamixer, I have:
Card: ForteMedia FM801-AU
Chip: Wolfson WM9701A
I always get what I expect on the output from the sound card, but it is a bit
more difficult to get something to record. At first it was completely quiet,
no matter how I sat the kmix-mixer, but in alsamixer, I found the Digital
Capture Source. With that set to "AC97 Pri", I got the sound recorded. I am
mostly using gramofile, and as I finish one record, I only get white noice on
the next recording. by going to alsamixer, selecting another Digital Capture
Source and reselecting the "AC97 Pri" it is working, throughout one
recording, then I have to reselect DCS again.
No idea what is going on, if somebody needs some more information to
investigate this, please contact me.
