Just a quick follow-up to my previous post.
As noted, the 0.9.0 stuff I had worked fine with the Alsa kernel modules
included in 2.6.0-test6.
All I had to do was to run the current (0.9.7) version of snddevices
to make the additional devices in /dev/snd that were required by something.
I did go back and TRY to build the 0.9.7 series, and everything built
(and works) except for the alsa-driver-0.9.7a package, which had a number
of undefined variables in the OSS code, but since the drivers that come
with the kernel work,- Im going to ignore this problem.
