use the cvs snapshot version :)

as written above, you don't need to remove the kernel options.

pnp is a different thing.  there are some bugs in the 2.6 pnp layer
itself.  some pathes have been posted on lkml.

not the only but you'll get likely the latest bugfixes with that.
