OK. So I now have (from amixer) :

Simple mixer control 'IEC958 Playback AC97-SPSA',0
  Capabilities: volume volume-joined
  Playback channels: Mono
  Limits: 0 - 3
  Mono: 3 [100%]

ac97#0-0+regs is:
...
0:2a = 05f5
...

Unfortunately, I still have no ac3 stream recognized by my amplifier... :-(

Any other idea ?
