No change at all. The ac3 stream still has so many drop-out it's quasi mute. Here's the command (with output) that I used: $ ac3dec -C en.ac3 Using PCM device 'plug:iec958:{AES0 0x2 AES1 0x82 AES2 0x0 AES3 0x2}' AC3 Stream 48.0 KHz 384 kbps I've also tried PCM output on spdif, the sound is severely distorted: $ ac3dec -D spdif en.ac3 2.0 Mode 48.0 KHz 384 kbps Complete Main Audio Service Using PCM device 'spdif' On the other hand, the front analog output works fine: $ ac3dec en.ac3 2.0 Mode 48.0 KHz 384 kbps Complete Main Audio Service Using PCM device 'default' Cheers For reference, here's my irq setup with noapic (irq line is shared between libata and EMU10K1 ...): $ cat /proc/interrupts CPU0 0: 129754 XT-PIC timer 1: 764 XT-PIC i8042 2: 0 XT-PIC cascade 3: 3 XT-PIC lirc_serial 5: 50438 XT-PIC bttv0, ohci_hcd:usb1, ehci_hcd:usb3, Bt87x audio, saa7146 (0), eth0, [EMAIL PROTECTED]:0000:03:00.0 7: 96 XT-PIC parport0 8: 4 XT-PIC rtc 9: 0 XT-PIC acpi 10: 0 XT-PIC MPU401 UART 11: 66218 XT-PIC ohci1394, libata, ohci_hcd:usb2, EMU10K1, eth1 12: 11166 XT-PIC i8042 14: 21180 XT-PIC ide0 15: 8644 XT-PIC ide1 NMI: 0 LOC: 129723 ERR: 32 MIS: 0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
