Ummm, this may not behave the way you expect. You probably think that
forcing them on a weekend and having dumpcycle set to one week will
cause Amanda to do those full dumps just on the weekends and not during
the week.
However, I *think* (but did not investigate) this will create a "hill"
in the balancing Amanda tries to achieve, so during the week it will
promote full dumps from what would have been done next weekend up into
the weekdays to reduce the load it thinks is going to happen Sat/Sun.
In other words, it's going to undo what you're trying to accomplish.
Assuming this is what would really happen (there are times an Amanda
"simulator" would be handy :-), I don't have any ideas off the top of
my head how to do what you want, other than the "two configurations"
kind of thing Lance Dillon mentioned.
This is probably the type of feature (skew the schedule based on weekday
or weekend) you could support with the "STRATEGY API", but I don't think
anyone has thought much about that code yet.
