The usefulness of placing /var/amavis/tmp to ramdisk very much depends
on a file system in use and whether a disk drive has a RAM cache or not.
When I was benchmarking amavisd-new on FreeBSD (UFS2 file system),
there was no advantage in using ramdisk for tmp. I would imagine
journaling file systems would behave similarly.
