Perhaps because amavisd exited 'un-cleanly'.

>From my cursory reading of the code, Amavis::TempDir should be creating *and*
destroying the temporary files, but I suspect your folders are quite old and
remnant from amavisd "crashes" in the past.  We probably need more
information to debug.
