Jan Willem Janssen commented on AMDATU-493:
-------------------------------------------
My $0.02:
1a) I agree with Marcel that the safest namespace would be our own one:
org.amdatu.*;
1b) as for the minimal set of properties: I would propose to make tenant ID
mandatory *only*, and the name optional. The hostname should be optional as
well, but as we're also providing other ways than hostname, it should *not* be
part of the minimal core properties. If service properties are supported, then
this would be a good candidate for that;
2) formalizing the header names is a good idea(TM); I'm ambivalent whether it
should be "Amdatu-*" or "x-Amdatu-*", pick one;
3) I'm not entirely clear about the issue; do you mean "bundle" properties per
tenant, or additional service properties per tenant provisioned by the tenant
definition? I'm confused...
4) multi-tenancy is something you have to think about upfront. I do not see an
additional use case for a single-tenant mode, its either a non-multi-tenancy
application, or a multi-tenancy application with only one tenant. That said, I
would like to propose we stick to the singular form, tenant.
