In that case, it's best to /ignore by hostmask since if the nickame
changes, they of course escape the ignore.
Ignore works like a banmask -
/ignore [EMAIL PROTECTED] [option]

You can check by just typing /ignore
and this creates a list of active ignores and the number of times the
person/hostmask has sent a message to you and ignored in any one AmIRC
session.
If you're not getting anything from them, then obviously it did work.
:)
If it's a big problem, ie, they are flooding you, consider using
/silence
