Hi,
After installing the lastest popup MUI class, AmIRC 3.4 got so stable on my
system that I actualy started using it.
However I've noticed that sometimes the menus (real pull-down ones) will
dissapear. This usualy happens if I've had the server selection window
open, selected a server by doubleclicking in the list, and then for some
reason or another wasn't able to connect to that server. Then I'll be left
with an unconnected dialog window, and no menues. Shortcuts as described
in the menue don't work either. Everything else works as usualy.
Now, about the slowdown problem people has been reporting. I have that, too.
However not as extreem as some of those reported. AmIRC (one channal connected)
typical has a CPU load of about 3%, but sometimes it will reach over 30%. I've
not been able to identify any reason why it suddenly changes, except perhaps
that a slightly lagged line seems to generate a slightly larger CPU load.
