Hi,
Olli posted a note to us all saying the new 356 Beta was out and the
previous one would expire 1 Jan 2001.
I had already downloaded it - though it was not an official release from
what I can read.
So, today being 2 Jan, I started up AMIRC and get an error.
Hmmmm... Tried again and again and again. Oh! I need the new version.
That's right!
Quickly run off to vapor.com/amirc and it ain't there.
Grumble.
Go to H&P and THEN to a vapor site, and it is. Keh?
Download the 356_beta.lzx
Extract it and copy the executable over....
Ta Da!
Still doesn't wanna let me connect.
Here is what it says to me:
Looking up host "vancouver.bc.ca.dal.net"...
Attempting connection to host "irc.dal.net" (127.0.0.1) on port 6667...
Unable to connect. Error code 61 (Connection refused)
I think the 127.0.0.1 is a problem, but I dunno, I am having headache after
headache getting Samba / SWAT working.
Sorry, but what did I miss?
