I would say that the best prize the Google can offer - is free
promotion of the Android applications by the means of Google. For
example, creating a resource which contains information about all
decent applications (not only the winners), where the users can select/
find/download/read about all reasonable Android applications, put
rankings, etc. The applications which have the best user rankings will
be always on the top, and, hence, viewable/used by thousands of
potential Android users. The new application addition/or old
application editing procedure should be moderated to make sure that
there is no spam and false information. Google will have to make sure
that this resource is added to the google search and links from it
automatically fire up first when the users search with "Android mobile
gphone etc." keywords. It can be portal type of a resource which will
also contain Google side reviews and OHA recommendations for really
cool applications.

This kind of promotion won't cost much to Google, but will definetely
benefit both sides - developers and Google itself. It's even better
for money, I would definetely sell my car and invest that money into
my app if I would see that the users actually love it and that it can
be efficiently promoted by Google itself.

If Google wants any kind of developer feedback or vision on what this
resource can potentially look like, I guess we all will be really
happy to provide it.

Just my 2 cents.

Regards,
Alex
