Also trying to have a list item with a check box in it :( Can I just point out that the alarm clock in sdk 1.0 has exactly what myself and other people in this thread are trying to accomplish. A list item with some text and a check box, with both controls independently clickable. If only google would open source the code we could see how they did it.
Along these lines, does anyone know of a good write up of how the event system works in android (e.g. parent/child relationships, super/ derived relationships, etc).
