I think the thing to do is simply not use the google extras. Why do you need them? All you really need to know is whether an application is licensed or not licensed. Google may say that the verification time of the licensing is 2 days say (I have no idea what the normal response would be), but why use their values? The same goes with retries, just use your own values then it doesn't matter whether google sends extras or not.
