For graphic resources, the advice is generally to copy them into your own 
project, because then you can rely on what they'll be in the future. IOW, you 
won't get surprised if they change in a future update to the platform. I don't 
see any reason not to do the same with string resources - they may be less 
likely to change, but it does definitely make them available to your app.
