I don't believe this is the case:

- Only my paid version dropped in install %, the free version is still
the same as before.
- My ranking in my category has dropped from 3 to 10 in the course of
a week, for no apparent reason (no new competitors, no sudden 1-
stars), so the only explanation is the install %.  My competitors have
not dropped in this time frame.
- My app is a personal finance package costing $10.  It's not
something people buy, enter their data and then willy-nilly uninstall
in droves.  If it were a $0.99 calculator, I can see that happening,
but not an app that people used to keep track of their money.

I believe what has happened to my app (and a few other posters on
here) is limited to only some apps.
