> Installation via the web may not be available for emulators That was true up to and including SDK 1.0r1, but as of SDK 1.0r2 webmasters can install an APK directly from their own website using the browser on the emulator, after first enabling "Unknown Sources" (from the main screen selecting Menu | Settings | Applications | Unknown Sources) to allow for installation from the web.
