Or, crack open their app and check the build of the ffmpeg library. If they "forgot" to do the mandatory sanity checks on their build (i.e. "forgot" to read http://ffmpeg.org/legal.html that has useful build instructions) you could always request a copy of the now GPL- licensed source code to their entire application or file a takedown of their app.
