I asked this question on StackOverflow ( http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12015303/what-user-identity-should-be-used-to-collate-in-app-purchases-from-google-play ) a week ago, but nothing so perhaps there are keener eyes here.
Essentially as part of in-app billing (unmanaged items) I'm looking for the user identity that I can pass to AppEngine to track a user's purchased items. The identity needs to be device non-specific to cater for users with the app installed on multiple devices, so a Google Play identity seems perfect. But I can't see where any identity is ever supplied as part of the purchase flow. So where/how to get it?
