It's really acting like there is something on my machine which is preventing the phone/tablet devices from accepting the debug command (prompt, whatever it is) so the device just doesn't ask. As I've said, I tried uninstalling Android Studio (which includes the SDK) and removing the .android directory which is in my HOME directory and reinstalling, but this didn't help. Is there something else I can clean out to get this working again?
If I'm asking in the wrong place, can someone please let me know where this should go? I'm really stuck at this point.
