Will do - can you think of any way to get around this in the meantime
though? ScrollView has that onInterceptTouch method - anything I could
do with that to trick ScrollView into thinking the touchDown location
is actually where the user's finger was when the touchDown first was
registered?

ScrollView is excellent, I want to avoid copying the source into my
project though!
