Well, *I* signed this one, because Git is basically useless on the most popular desktop OS, and in any case it's far more complicated than anyone really needs (except maybe the decentralized, international Linux kernel team for which it was designed). But I don't know how sensible it is to switch to a more Windows- friendly VCS without providing proper build support for Windows, and I can believe the latter is impractical. If you're gonna have to install Linux to build Android anyway, the case for moving to SVN gets weaker, because Git doesn't have the same problems on Linux.
