You can always download the app yourself (I assume you've done that!) and answer back with something like:
Developer Comment: @butthead - How can a free app with no ads be considered "scamware?" You've apparently misunderstood the very nature of the app or are confusing it with something else. Please write me with your concerns. I post an answer as a "Developer Comment" whenever I see something odd or that requires clarification.
