Law enforcement (e.g. Google) has better things to do. That's why they gave
the developers the power to - as John put it - "kill off a pest." Contrary
to what we've been told, ignoring someone rarely works.

In the wrong hands, yes, this could be a problem. But if there is someone
just chewing up the boards with negative comments they need to be handled.
Comedians shut hecklers down, why not have your app do the same?

As far as MS goes, they didn't come out unscathed. They still have
a specter of poor PR looming around them. There are message boards filled
with vitriol about their products. Sadly, they have the money to ignore bad
press. John, I don't believe, has the deep pockets to do so. After reading
his products' comments board, he has allowed some criticism. I don't think
the kill switch is in bad hands.
