Philosophically, I agree with you, but pragmatically, I think the OP may be onto something. We all know how important ratings and reviews are; giving the whiners a "constructive" way to vent sounds like a fine tradeoff to me. Especially since they probably wouldn't have clicked on the ads anyway, out of spite. Where's the downside?

Some of the ads are per-view (especially the full screen ads), so even those who HATE HATE HATE ads are earning you fractional pennies. :)

Here's the real problem: The new version is going to charge people $1 to shut down ads. I'd charge less if I could.

If they hate them so much, then why not let them support you directly?
