Well its not illegal to break a contract per se, all you do is aleviate any
responsibility from the other party to fulfill their end.  IF your breaking
your contract can be shown to have had a direct financial impact on the
other party, you might be required to pay restitution.  But in the case of
your phone contract id doubt thats an issue.

So AFAIK (and I Am Not A Lawyer) the worst that could happen is that they
could cancel your phone service.
