Hi, I am running USB ADB on my development platform, am using 2.6.29 kernel. If i insert the USB cable after kernel boot-up, after UI comes (after ADB daemon is started in the init.rc) , then ADB work perfectly fine and if i remove the cable, then disconnect event is notified properly to the ADB driver (on the device) and the "USB device connected icon" on the device disappears.
If I plug-in the USB cable before board power-on (before kernel boot - up),even then ADB works fine, but if I remove the USB cable, then the device disconnect notification is not sent to the ADB driver and the "USB connected" icon still remains on the device. I dont think its my controller driver problem because it works fine if i run file storage (UMS) . one more thing that I observed is in case ADB the device is getting enumerated twice, once at the kernel boot up and once after init.rc is executed. Does any one know what can be the problem ? Thanks in advance regards, Girish -- unsubscribe: android-kernel+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-kernel
