Just one more question, what is the significance of adding these
<item> ...</item> below. How it affects working of the tethering?

currently feature is showing up in settings after updating to whatever
you mentioned, but tethering is not working. since first time i am
doing this, i will try to debug why it is not working and any I need
to enable or support for it.
