i cant find ipkg-link. how do u cross compile? if u can upload it somewhere
it would be great.

p.s what is the command to start gpe?

I have X11 running on my poodle. This was done by installing the console
image and adding the X stuff on the /home partition and linking the
packages with ipkg-link afterwards (I first cross-compiled ipkg-link
myself because it isn't available in the ipkg repositories):

# ipkg install -d home xserver-kdrive-fbdev task-base-extended
angstrom-x11-base-depends angstrom-gpe-task-base
angstrom-gpe-task-settings
# ipkg-link mount /home/packages

It could be necessary to install it all once again, because the
postinstall instructions of some packages cannot be done before linking
them with ipkg-link.

Altboot with a loopback image doesn't work for me, because the boot
process halts with init. I don't know yet what causes this.
