There is a post further down explaining issues with the c7x0
Narcissus build regarding the x-server.
Had the RNDIS problem but was to boot a stable console image by
commenting out DEVCACHE="/etc/dev.tar located in /etc/default/udev
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------
# Default for /etc/init.d/udev
# Comment this out to disable device cache
# DEVCACHE="/etc/dev.tar"

Hi All
I have been trying Angstrom using the kexec link I found on the
Angstrom site (http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/
kexecboot/) for my Zaurus c860, as well as the one mentioned below,
and using the Online builder in simple mode to build x11 and Opie
images.
Kexecboot menu loads fine, and I can select from the two rootfs I
have on my 2gb SD card. Whatever I do my system hangs on RNDIS
ready. Am I missing something obvious, or is there a problem with
kexec, the builder, or - I hope not - my Z?
Cheers
John

Prior to flashing the kexec image , did a nand restore to
origional Sharp values for my 860 from
trisoft ==> http://trisoft.de/en_c860howto.htm
This is for 860 , on this page I see 750 760 860 1000 etc, but no
700. I believe this would be required if you have flashed altboot,
or some how overlayed the orginal memory layout. uboot may cause
the same issue, never used it, so not sure about that. Somebody
here may have more understanding of this, than I do.
I was useing altboot and was able to boot all three images (one
partition with three image files) before moving to kexec. Reason
for nand restore.
The kexec I'm using is the latest kexec link posted by Andrea to
this forum apr 10 1:56 AM ==> http://projects.linuxtogo.org/frs/?

Built the sd card using a slackware linux system , fdisk, mkfs
(dev should not be mounted), mount and untar. see below.
The console image was narcissus but fairly old , working on
building a current one it gave a udev error and hung at RNDIS ready
The X11 was old , would have to find the space some where but
could probably find some
The Ubuntu was from ==> http://www.omegamoon.com/blog/static.php?
page=ZaurusUbuntu. This system boots but has screen and RTC clock
problems.
** They also have a kexec download (** warning that kexec didn't
work for me, found everything but wouldn't boot)
** They have good instructions on building the SD card.
