Hello all,
I'm looking into alternatives to Fibre-Channel for a video SAN. I've
tested iSCSI, but without a TOE HBA CPU usage (waste) seems to be to
high to really use it (I'm looking into about 300Mb/s, 10GigE for
uncompressed HD editing).

Now I would like to try ATAoE, but I am a complete linux newbie so the
first question is which distro should I use. Let me ask the question
differently as I'm not wanting to start a religious battle about which
is the best Linux distro: which distro does vblade work best with,
does it matter at all or is anything with a new kernel (like OpenSUSE
11, Ubuntu 8.04, others) supposed to work equally well?

Thanks
Mark
