Hello George,

I have been speaking to Sergio Ortiz the last couple of days about that
specific project (I have sent him my initial proposal for review), and from
what I have understood you can reuse the work done but also you have the
liberty to propose a new system from the ground up.

For the language question, it seems to me that the Python work was to
create an initial prototype and later port it to C++ (I don't know how much
of this was included in the GSoC project though) and I am waiting for the
answer to that same question.
