Sergio is not taking part this year, but it is a shame to leave the
project like that, so if you come up with a strong proposal/application
you could well find another mentor -- including Zaher for example.

Yes exactly. Zaher should be able to fill you in.

You can do the prototyping in C++ if you want. The rest is up to the
mentor. I don't know Haskell or Ruby, but I can't imagine python would
be hard to learn for someone who already knows four languages.
