if i remember right ..... with a lot of at your own risk etc ...... it was a way to recharge/juvenate the 3.6 1/2 AA batteries and since i have 30 - 50 batteries and computers that need mating i would try it. I can't remember if it was the company that took over appleworks for apple II up in Mich. or another magazine. i lost several boxes of my apple II magazine collection in a basement flood so i don't have the magazines to search. : > (
