I have a 1.2 GB hard drive (SCSI) which I'd like to set up for my IIgs. I also have a PowerMac 9500 which I think could be hooked up (AppleTalk) to the IIgs, but I'm not sure on that.

I know ProDOS won't see anything bigger than 30-32MB partitions, but GSOS (6.0.1) can see larger partitions. I have a 5.25 floppy with some kind of Apple SCSI Utilities on it, and previously had tried using it to put the drivers on the partitions (formattted it and partitioned on the PM9500), but couldn't get ASUtils to see the drive *and* copy/install the drivers onto the HD. Without the drivers on the 1.2GB Hard drive, GSOS doesn't see it and cannot install from a floppy - 3.5 or 5.25 (where my FST? - HD drivers - are).

Can someone tell me where I can find easy to understand directions on what steps need to be done, in what order? I have asked on this and other lists before, but apparently no one knew (or was willing to reply to me). Having this IIgs and not being able to make use of the HD is very frustrating...

Any and all help will be appreciated. Please send links (or if it's short enough, post it on the list, that'll work too).

Thanks,

Jim Rohde
