FWIW, the Deskjet 500 (is that the same as to Apollo? I can't remember) works well with AppleWorks too. I put together for NAUG printer init codes directly installed in the SEG.ER files for AW 3,4, and 5 that would work with this inkjet model.
Deskjet 500 drivers work with several models of the Deskjet Printers.
