old repair attempt for streaking.
q-tip with wd-40 dab the face of print head until clean. DO NOT rub or
scrub just dab so that you don't bend pins. you might have to pull print
head (been a long time since i did one). wd-40 acts as a solvent on
stray ink and lubes pins. if that don't work try another print head.
note: those printers were made by c.itoh and some of the parts are the same.
another way to stretch out ribbon use is remove top of ribbon and evenly
spray with light coat of wd-40. (makes ink spread onto dryer parts of
ribbon. best if sets a couple of hours.
