When you're talking about collectibles, that is the relevant question.  In
this case, the value as a collectible is more important than the machine
itself.  If you're annoyed by that, maybe it's because you haven't
distinguished the difference between something being valued for it's
function versus it being valued for it's rarity or it's nostalgic factors.

Personally, I have at least one ][+, //e, and //gs (Woz), but I don't
consider them collectibles.  I have them because I love the machines and the
software for them.  I value them for their functionality and simplicity (and
because the //e was my first computer)

Anybody who would be interested in it for the signature will know Woz's
signature well enough to recognize it's authenticity.
