indeed it is!

I bought one of these cards from him last year and it's flawless. It's virtually just a plug-and-play deal. I think I actually got the last one from his initial production run. I have no idea if he'll ever do another run, though.

I also have a second third-party RAM expansion card, called the Sirius RAM Card. It will add up to 8 megabytes (instead of 4) to a IIGS. I believe the card I have is damaged, however, as I've never been able to get it to work with more than 1 megabyte. The instructions that come with it are somewhat confusing as to the correct jumper settings so it could simply be user error. Though I did spend days and days trying to get it to work, and I think I tried just about all possible jumper combinations. It was suggested at the time that maybe I should try using SIMMs that were all the same manufacturer/speed instead of mismatched 1MB SIMMs. Unfortunately, I didn't (still don't) have 8 identical 1MB SIMMs.

Maybe some day I'll dig it out again and give it another go.

It probably was the card by Bill Garber, who run GarberStreet Enterprises. I've got one of these cards, and they're well-made, and do what they're advertised to do--add memory to your computer. (I've been after Bill to make other cards, and they're all on his rather long to-do list. :) )

If the card you saw on ebay say GarberStreet, and has Vince Briel's name on it as designer, it's a good card.

I saw on ebay the other day a 4mb memory expansion card. It wasn't the normal Apple one but a 3rd party unit. Does anybody know who manufacturers these boards?

Thanks,
