Yes, CD is 5 and HD is 3
I am starting to think that switches on the card need to be changed.
Any ideas ?

Have you checked to make sure that the SCSI ID's are set
correctly? IIRC, the CD has to have a higher # than the HD does.
Mismatched ID (both set for the same sometimes happens) will cause
non-bootups.
