Yes, I guess it has. Probably just as well. I think I need

Well, telnet is obviously working, but there is a mechanical problem
- the nut in front of the keyboard.
If I address my ISP only, I get asked for a login. Which doesn't work -
my ordinary username and password don't seem to be accepted, even though
I DID login to that ISP with Arachne. Trying to address
mail.my_isp.net.au:110 got me a failed "domain not found" message.
OK, folks, I am in your hands. :)
What is the drill for telnetting in to ones own mail server ?
