Arachne v1.71;UE01 has an addes "check-box" on the F2 screen.
(Use Binary mode)

When checked, a new Arachne.cfg variable will be written and used.

UseBinaryFTP Yes

This 'forces' binary mode for ALL ftp uploads. Regardless of file type.
To go back to ASCII mode for uploding things such-as CGI scripts.
'uncheck' the box and make sure that a line such as this is in mime.cfg

file/cgi TXT

(any file not identified in mime.cfg as being text... will be
 automatically uploaded in binary mode)

Since this was his idea.
Anyone who likes this little 'feature'.
Please send a note of thanks to Clarence. :))))
