True, you could look at it that way. But IMHO, that doesn't guarantee
that the user knows what they're doing. They could very well be
following a guide that tells them which commands to run without
understanding any of it at all.

In my view, whether or not an AUR helper is included in the extra
repository is simply a matter of convenience for the user, to avoid
having to build it. It doesn’t add to or detract from security because,
as I said before, a user can always do things without understanding
what they’re doing (and even more so now with AI assistants).
