On ours, when we scan with the flat bed instead of the document feeder, we have to uncheck something on the scanning screen. Also, when we scan with papers through the feeder, the Document number, patron name and ariel address are entered before the scan. With using the flat bed (scanning from a book) the info is added at the end. I hope this helps.
