I'd like to say that pronounciation varies from region to region. I remember our Hindi teacher would pronounce "van"(hindi word for forest) as "bun", and he is a proper north Indian.
I personally dont find any probem with Rahman Sir's diction. If anything, i find it to be quite distinctive and actually like the way he pronounces some of the words. ash
